About the Homeowner
Jenny and her three siblings jointly own a three-bedroom apartment in Surfers Paradise. With a large extended family of four children, ten grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren, the apartment is used regularly for family holidays and get-togethers.
At the same time, there are long periods when the family does not need the property and wants it to generate income without losing access.
The goal:
To keep the apartment available for family use, while earning income during unused periods through short-term rentals.
The Challenge
With multiple owners and family members using the property throughout the year, flexibility was non-negotiable. Long-term leasing was not an option, as it would remove the family’s ability to use the apartment when they wanted.
